There is a saying in Germany which basically goes
'The month of April, it does what it wants' One day its been snowing and the next bright and sunny- it's crazy! It's getting a bit warmer now though, so I'm hangin' in there... The pre-uni language course I've been doing in doing for the past few weeks has been really cool. I've made friendies with heaps of other international students (don't worry Susan- we're speaking German) and have been given A LOT of homework! The end exam is tomorrow...hence updating my blog tonight! (; Last Friday night Pepe (a mexicaner) had a party at his place (see photos), which was the highlight of my weekend thanks to UTS assignments. For a speech we had to do on German food, Michela & Ying & I decided to try our hand at a few German recipes on Monday night (see photos).
It was the best 'study' I've ever done, although we found out from Michela's flatmates that the food was actually an Austrian speciality...oops! In other news, I also bought a bike last Saturday! Yay! Tuebingen is very much a little bike town- very flat (which is good seeing my brakes are a little...mmm...lets say untrustworthy...). Its only about 15 mins to ride to uni and 10mins to the city centre. Very convenient! Plus- the bike riding is only part of the scheme to reduce the fat damage inflicted by a steady diet of beer, potatoes, bread & cheese. :) Am heading to Prague this Friday for Easter with the UTS kids from Switzerland, France and the Netherlands. Further updates when I return.
