Little did you know, but it was cross-country day here in sunny Bogor (yes, SUNNY and NOT rainy! at least for the past 3 days...).
The student council at work decided that the morning and afternoon classes weren't mixing or getting to know each other that well. So they came up with the idea of organising a walking/orienteering adventure through the villages surrounding the Yayasan building (where most of the kids live) and getting everyone involved and working together. They've been talking about it for weeks and everyone was really excited that the day had finally come. And i'll tell you what- they're really something these kids. They had everything organised- there were intricately designed name tags for leaders, various postings along the walk with activities and games, painted yellow arrows pointing the way and snacks, drinks and prizes for afterwards. They show so much initiative and are just so responsible! I am the new liasion person between the student council and the 'staff', and i barely had to help them with anything! Anyway, it was loads of fun and i'm so proud of them for having put together such a great day.
Check out the photos for more of an idea : ) p.s. moving into my new house has been delayed, but hopefully Monday/Tuesday week it's gonna happen (so finger crossed everyone!) More thumbnails ...
