Happy Easter!!! (Happy Belated Easter actually- it's taken me awhile to get this entry up...)
Turns our the Easter bunny is pretty good at stalking travellers, because i was well and truly visited on Easter Sunday (coutesy of the lovely Anna -AYAD extraordinaire from Jakarta) and had an easter egg hunt to boot! (see photos) Anna, Carlena and Anna's friend Kenny came down to Bogor to escape the big smoke for a few days, and we managed an ueber relaxing/extreme sports weekend of botanical gardens, food, rafting, pirated dvds and chocolate! It was sad to see them go on Sunday, as i begun my first full week at work the following day. Work as been really great so far. I'm still finding my feet and nutting out the role a bit, but essentially the work environment is fantastic and the kids i'm working with are all really enthusiastic (and the little ones are super cute!). Whenever they come in for afternoon class, shouts of "Mbak Alex" can be heard several suburbs away...
I am also yet to get any kind of non-self-perpetuated illness, which is fantastic. Perhaps once i move out into my own house next week and start cooking for myself this will change... Anyways- hope you're all well!
