Koh Lanta is a lot less touristy! We're staying at a beach side resort in a very cheap but more than adequate beach bungalow. Spent a lot of time in the pool just swimming and relaxing + getting to know some other travellers. The beaches aren't quite as nice as Ko Phi Phi but certainly a lot quieter, apparently someone died from a jellyfish bite/sting the other day though so we've limited our swimming. Been getting around on scooter which is very safe as there is very little traffic - so I've even had a go at driving. We went caving which was amazing, some huge large caves with huge bats linked by passages you literally have to crawl through. Outside there were rubber tree plantations (Alex mistook the rubber catchers for bird feeders). We also treked to a waterfall which was truely beautiful, the fall itself was nothing spectacular but still worth the walk through the cool, clear stream. Loads of elephants but the wildlife award has to go to the 4 foot monitor lizard (dragon) that crossed our path....jaw dropping moment!
