From El Salvador to Nicaragua you have to drive about 250 K through Honduras.
In Short: Its the most expensive bordercrossing with the worst handling in all CA countrys.
When i approached the border herds of "guides" ran on to my car all wanting to guide me through.
I dont like this .
Procedure:
drive up to the border office, get copys of car title, passport,licence and more copys.
Then your car-permit is written.
Then (dont ask me why), your data is entered into a computer that calculates an importtax.
well you dont want to import, but lets call it road usage tax.
To get a printout i payed 10 dollar.
for the permit and the tax, i payed 30 dollar.
yap, 40 dollar to drive 250k in honduras.
This turned me off, even more when i got stopped lateron for 3 times by police-control.
I cannot really juge Honduras, i found it ¿not so nice?.
