Weather did not improve overnight... but we still decided to go for a walk at Leura cascades - interrupted by heavy rain - and at Blakheath - not really convincing as the fog was still there.
A bit fustrated, we decided to take the car and drive out of the Blue Mountains in search of a warmer/better climate.

Jenolan Caves: being further down in a valley the Jenolan Caves benefited from a better weather, and for the first time, we could actually "see" something. Did not do the tour but visited the main cave. Beautiful. Did a walk in the area with nice views over the cave and the lake. Walked also around the lake and saw a rainbow coloured lizard.... and a platipus! Very good muffin at the cafe.

Drove through Bathurst - a few interesting buildings - and Millthorpe. Millthorpe is really worth the detour, a small town with old buildings that seems to have stood still since last century...

Arrived at Nyrang Homestead (winery - Barton Creek wines) around 6pm. We were the only ones... Dinner in the veranda with Stephen and Greg, the 2 owners. Great wine (San Giovese and a Rosť).

Went to bed... good night except for the possum who was eating the floorboards somewhere making a bit of noise!
