Today was full of errands as well as fun. After breakfast, we hailed a Song-tow to make our way over to the Partners Chiang Mai office. While there, we toured the office, met some of the staff, and purchased some Karen-crafted items.
We hopped another Song-tow back to our hotel around 5:00pm, and had about an hour to relax, shower, and get ready for dinner. Dinner this evening was at a special restaurant.
Tom & Connie and Jenny
Then we hopped into a Song-tow (taxi) to make our way accross town to the home of Tom & Connie were we enjoyed a pizza lunch, a visit, and a swim in their pool.

Tom & Connie's Pool
Tom & Connie, and daughter, Jenny, are currently living one of their long-time dreams. They have relocated from Fairbanks, Alaska a couple of months ago to reside in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Their plan is to stay in Thailand for several months each year, and assist Partners. They are currently emersed in learning the Thai language through a private tutor, and will return to Alaska in April for a few months. We hopped another Song-tow back to our hotel around 5:00pm, and had about an hour to relax, shower, and get ready for dinner. Dinner this evening was at a special restaurant.
Kantoke-style Dinner
We dined in an open-air restaurant on traditional Thai foods as we enjoyed Lanna-style Thai dancers and live music.
Butterfly Thai Dancer
At the end of the dinner-show, we watched a display of fireworks and launched a Chinese lantern as a group.
