We're back in Mae Sot from our amazing trip to the high country! We are all safe and sound, and very glad for warmer temperatures! We would not have believed that we could actually get cold in Thailand, but we surely did in the hills. We spent the last two nights in our sleeping bags on our pads under mosquito nets in a hill-tribe village. We had no way to measure the exact temperature, but were all very cold in our 30-degree sleeping bags in the early morning hours, and we could see our breath. On the second night in the village, most of us doubled and triple-layered our clothes before we slid into our sleeping bags. We were still somewhat cold, but not quite as much. Our hot showers and warm beds in the hotel this evening were much appreciated!
