Our departure day is finally here, and we are all very excited! It is 20-degrees below zero with about 12-inches of snow today, and we are looking forward to traveling to some warmer weather. Our first team-task for the day was to complete the packing of our nine Action Packers for departure. These contain our various VBS (Vacation Bible School) supplies, as well as donations for the refugees and gifts for the missionaries. We reshuffled items in each one to ensure they weighed 50-pounds or less (per the airline requirements).

At 7:00pm, we all gathered at Terry & Jocelyn's house to load-up the Action Packers and head for the Fairbanks Airport. We met Ben at the airport as he was arriving home from vacation on a flight from Anchorage. We began our check-in process, as Ben quickly headed home for a quick change and to pickup his bags. As our flight did not leave until 10:00pm, we had time to check-in without being rushed, and avoided long lines and hassles.
