Where I stayed
Octopus had a dive shop on site so after a big buffet breakfast hoping I'd still float we headed out with one other girl to a dive site known as the pinnacles.
The visibility was good for me but bad according to our dive guide as we descended down into a canyon of coral. The strong currents near the bottom pulled us along between the towering pinnacles covered in the largest soft fan coral I'd seen waving like giant flags on both sides of us. The currents also worked to push a lot of jellyfish around having seen a lot in the water over the last few days but thankfully not stinging much especially when some were near invisible being so small and clear.
After a smoked marlin lunch and falling asleep on one of the sun loungers it was soon time to leave but not before my bag which had been loaded onto the water taxi and was already heading out to meet up with the yasawa flyer without me aboard. You think they might have noticed something was amiss.
Trying one last ditched attempt at tracking down something else amiss back in port I tried again in a futile hope to see if perhaps my shoes had been handed in but after being bounced between the office and terminal building and back again I finally gave up.
The evening was spent sitting talking with a Brit guy out here enjoying his retirement both having a moan about the other UK tossers acting like pricks around the pool. Ambassador for you country is something lost on some.
