Photography has become a big part of my travels with me documenting my whole journey in pictures uploading them to my website as I go not that I consider myself anything other than amateurish with my little point and shoot but currently at around 5000 and counting.

Adding to these are the photos I took yesterday on the Great Barrier Reef spending some time this morning checking out the photos I took seeing how many of them were close to usable and showed more than just bubbles.

Spent the most of the rest of today preparing to head out into the outback tomorrow which is a big highlight for my time in Australia with it being the image of Australia I always think of rather than the beach's and islands along the east coast, as great as they are. So maybe that is why I feel it a little odd speaking to those who are spending a year of more in the country but have no plans of heading out to the red centre with some considering it just a rock or nothing to see but desert - I really hope so too.

Seeing a group walking down the street with their matching 'I love Australia' hats complete with dangling corks from the brim (tourists, bless 'em) I remembered I still had to get myself a hat so took some time touring the shops trying to find a suitable head ornament. Hunting for a more genuine looking Aussie bush hat it was a tad hard to find one among the boomerangs and clip-on koalas that didn't cost as much as a ticket to Alice Springs.

Finally finding a suitable one that fitted my noggin I felt I was ready to head inland and see if there really is more than just a rock out there.
