Failing to last the whole night up on deck I woke to find the boat's punishment outlined on day 1 being carried out by the Captain getting his own back on being kept awake by making team Germany eat a spoonful of Vegemite. Figured the whole jar was a little too cruel. But only just.
Stopping in Nara Bay we scrambled up a short series of steps to check out some Aboriginal cave art before getting lost on a short walk and returning instead to a little landing beach for a swim. Still wondering if that was intentional lostness. Back on the boat we all jumped off the roof in a little bombing competition even team Korea who couldn't swim and the skipper who'd clearly had more practice at it than us.
Returning to Airlie Beach the return journey saw us meet some rough seas with large waves rocking the boat turning a few people a little green around the gills although myself and Team France were loving it as we motored back arriving in half the usual time. After the trip my reservations on day 1 about the boat were squashed having had a great time and like I said then the crew is what really makes the journey and I could not have been holed up with a better bunch of people for 3 days, sleep deprivation antics included.
