We all re-piled into the wagon (everyone here drives huge 4WD pickup trucks with the rest of their big families piled in the back) to re-scoot up the road to Maha Sarakham where we met JoJo, the eldest son, for lunch.
Before leaving Maha Sarakham we stopped at a Buddhist shrine with many people their walking round it 3 times with incense sticks and bunches of flowers all conveniently available near by
After almost burning down a sacred relic they gave me another chance to wreck their time honored traditions by going to a monk's inauguration party in the evening. For all the serene and peaceful imagery usually associated with monks they sure do know how to throw a good street party. The main street in town was partly closed off with a stage erected at one end for plenty of singing and scantily clad dancers which seemed a bit cruel giving the strict no-woman policy for monks, not that I was complaining of course.
