With not a lot to do in Emei when not climbing mountains (although I realized today that we weren't in Emei town itself actually but Baoguo Village just down the road) we passed the time till the train was due to leave just messing around and talking while struggling to find something to eat which was not fried, still trying to eat slightly healthier for a few days - but only a few days now.
As we waited in the station before boarding the train, Lihi was getting pretty paranoid at all the staring which she'd not seen much of up to now due to them only visiting the bigger tourist cities so far such as Beijing and Xi'an, I was just glad to not have to take them all on at another staring showdown by myself for once. The train ride was just a short one of 12 hours (funny how that is considered short now were a train journey of that length back home would be unthinkable) but that would be long enough with the pair of Chinese girls sitting on the bottom bunk opposite crunching on a seemingly bottomless bag of chicken feet for what felt like hours, I can still hear that gnawing noise in my ears similar to that heard when my cat had just caught a mouse.
