Ok, people have been giving me shit cause I haven't updated this yet, it has only been a week.
anyway, i arrived in C.M. and checked into a guest house in the middle of town, clean, friendly and cheap. I picked up the motorbike and all is good with that apart from I have not relieved the registration yet, have to wait a couple of months for that to come through, it is not really a problem as I can still ride around Thailand.
I am currently waiting for a luggage rack and toolbox to be built for the bike, they should be ready by Wednesday and then I will head off, not sure where yet but out into the mountains somewhere.
Took the bike out for a test ride yesterday about 50km north / east of C.M, I was trying to get to a village called "Sop Kai' but due to the recent rain the track was blocked by a landslide that happened a few days earlier, I found another track near by and it was pretty rough going but worth it as i landed upon a little village on top of a mountain (1054m, so the GPS told me)
The bike did not miss a beat and the Thai's seem to love it, every where I stop they all take turns sitting on it, it is pretty funny actually as there feet don't even some close to the ground.
Anyway, having a great time even though I am nursing a bit of a cold I picked up in London. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
Alan.
P.S. Mark and Sandy, the lady boys send their love and hope you will come and visit them again real soon.

. It seems that they were not expecting farrang(westerners) as all the woman were working in the fields only wearing their bras and skirts. I did make a friend, a three year old boy had a huge amount of pleasure digging up stones, showing them to me, and then throwing them at the dog.The bike did not miss a beat and the Thai's seem to love it, every where I stop they all take turns sitting on it, it is pretty funny actually as there feet don't even some close to the ground.
