Beautiful weather ! Partly sunny, cloudy all day and mid 40's. We drove around Chianti once again this time spending time in Castellina, which is a beautiful hill town. We love this town, and had a cup of tea with a bunch of locals and a cute dog. We then drove east to Radda which is much higher up and very stunning. We found a sensational restaurant and had a lovely lunch there. Then drove back through Chianti to our hotel in Greve. Today in Jann 6 which is a very big holiday in Italy, so unfortunately everything was closed so we just took in the stunning scenery, took pics, and ate. Tomorrow we will visit Gaiole in Chiatni, before traveling to Luca who lives in Figline Valdarno on the north eastern edge of Chianti. His girlfriend is cooking a typical Sicillian dinner and then we are sleeping there. We are a little apprehensive about this experience, totally new for me in my 17 trips to Italy. Then Thursday morning we will drive the 2 hrs to La Spezia, and hopefully get to see a couple of the towns in Cinque Terre, and then the other 3 the next day. Will not a computer for who knows how long, so this could be it for a while.
