500k took us as far as Alice Springs where we are for 2 nights.

We stopped off at the Devils Marbles along the way. A large collection of huge round bouldersjust off the Stuart Highway. They were incredibly impressive.The devil must be huge if his marbles are that big - I'm trying not to be rude but I don't think i've succeeded.

We also drove through Aileron, a place suposed to be the UFO captial of australia. They even had a sign on the main highway saying "Alien Landing Field". My considered opinion on the subject is "What a load of crap".

Further along the road was an ornithologists orgasm. The biggest Wedge Tailed eagle we have ever seen. Could it have picked up our van and carried it off to its nest? No! But it could have had a damned good try.
