Entry 55 of 158 | show all | print this entry

We moved on a further 200km yesterday to Kununurra, with our heads still full of the magic of yesterday. We shall be staying here for 3 nights in order to give our van a treat. On Monday it will receive it's first 10000km service. Roll on the next 10000k.

We stocked up on food and chilled the afternoon away at the Ivanhoe Village Caravan Resort, another Big4 property with a great swimming pool. The evening was spent in checking that the VB cans opened properly.

Today, 15th we visited the local market and spent a$10.50 updating the blog. We will now visit the Pub for a change of scenery. Who knows, we might even have a few beers. It's a hard life.

Later in the day we were saddened to hear the news that one our best friends died on Friday evening. We are at the other side of the world Howie, but we know that though you were small in stature, you will leave a big empty space in our lives when we get back to the UK. Our heartfelt condolences to Gail and all the family.

In all we spent 3 days in Kununurra and after a morning without the shell on our backs (the van was undergoing its first 10000k service while we walked through the town in almost 40degree temparatures) we mosied along to Timber Creek.
