Shortly after leaving Cervantes we came across a lake where we saw Stromatolites. Don't ask!
We drove the 200km to Geraldton and booked in at the Sunset Beach Big4 caravan park, which was populated by 100000 dollar caravans. We were happy when we put up our 320 dollar awning for the first time. It almost doubled the size of our van even though we paled into insignificance against the size of the caravans. Still, they say size isn't everything.
Geraldton is the largest town for umpteen kilometres so we did a fortnights foodshop here before moving on.
A small aside. For some days now we have been very disappointed with the reception on our car radio. We hardly received anything and we thought it was because we were in the outback. I suppose that had something to do with it but the main reason was that our aeriel was down. Doh.
