We drove inland from Adelaide through almost totally flat farmland along the course of the Murray River. There were some beautiful views of the river and lots of scenic stops and picnic spots. The weather, like the last few days has been really sunny.

Last night we stayed at the Kar-Rama Motor Inn, only a$66 for a good en-suite room. We chose the place because it was, you guessed it, only a short walk away from the local RSL club, where a jug of ale was a$10 and a great Bistro meal was a$35. The food in Australia is so much better than we expected, dare we say it, better than in the UK.
