Chris loves the Hotel Graha because she can have a hot bath instead of
the cold showers we have been used to after leaving Bali the first
time. That's what 15 pounds a night will get you.
We have just seen the Palace and will be visiting the monkey forest this afternoon. See below!
We have booked a flight for tomorrow which will take us to Surabaya on Java, the second biggest city in Indonesia.
The restaraunt Dina has the best food we have tasted since leaving the UK,
and we have had some really special meals at other restaurants, believe
us. Just for once, last night we ate some non-Indonesian food. The
Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Tuna Steak were to die for, and the
price one pound 60p per person + Ale was just about affordable.
OK FOLKS - It's later in the day now and Chris insists that I tell you
about the visit we have just made to the Monkey Forest. We paid a few
Rupiah entrance fee and the done thing is to buy a bunch of bananas to
feed the little monkeys. I spent 10000 Rupiah on the bananas, against
Chis's advice (don't Alan, the monkeys will attack you) and within 5
seconds I was surrounded by LARGE so called tame monkeys who started to
jump on my back and shoulders in search of sustainance. It took me
about 3 seconds to throw the bananas quickly in all directions, much to
Christines amusement. She couldn't get her camera out fast enough to
capture the moment and there was no way I was going to spend another
10000 Rupia on more bananas.
