It seems that we were never destined to get a good night's sleep in Puerto Natales, this time it was a load of dogs barking for hours non-stop from about 6am which prevented it.
However this wasn't a bad thing because we had another early bus to catch.
So we finished off our packing, grabbed some quick brekkie (where we learnt that our fellow guest the poor German lady had Dengue Fever, which is another mosquito-borne illness very similar to malaria, but not as deadly) and then powered down to the bus with all our packs & bags.
We were using the same bus company as we used to get here, so we knew the bus would be fine, and we arrived at the border about 30 minutes after leaving town
After the usual tooth-pulling formalities (but interestingly no customs search this time), we were back in Argentina, crossing the boring flat Patagonian landscape all the way back to El Calafate, where we fly from to Buenos Aires tomorrow.
I read an entire book during the 5 hour journey, Katie slept and then got to work on our Brazil route, so the trip went quite quickly.
On arriving in town, we walked to a hostel, booked a room and contemplated what we would do for the rest of the afternoon & evening.
In the end we did a bit of emailing, then walked down to the lake and around a nature reserve, before having dinner at another All-You-Can-Eat place. Which rocked.
We watched a movie on our tv ("Danny the Dog" anyone?!) in the room before going to sleep at about 11pm, both really looking forward to arriving in B.A. tomorrow.
Lots of love,
Al & Katie xx
