by Kim:

Most nights, the dress code in the dining room is "smart casual," which pretty much comes down to no shorts, but causes us to have to dress for dinner. I alternate between finding it civilized and finding it a nuisance.

Three of our 15 nights, though, the dress is formal: "evening gowns and cocktail dresses for ladies; tuxedo, slacks with dinner jackets, or suits for men." For me at least, it's been fun to have an excuse to dress up to that degree, which we so seldom do at home.
