We boarded the ship smoothly and began the exciting process of exploring: finding our cabins, scoring outside tables and pizza for lunch, and walking the many decks (10 floors, except you're not supposed to call them that on a ship) to discover the four pool areas, ping pong tables, basketball court, shuffle board courts, giant chess board, miniature golf course, kids gamerooms, two theaters, casino, library, card room, computer room, glass elevators, and shops, as well as dining rooms and bars galore. It really is like a big resort hotel that floats.
Our cabin has an upper bunk that folds out for Max, and a window that lets us watch the waves go by. After an obligatory safety drill, we all gathered on the top deck for a party as we set sail. We crowded the rails, waiting and watching until we pulled out of Port Everglades and waved Fort Lauderdale goodbye.
We're at sea. More thumbnails ...
