Flag of Turkey  , Turkish Black Sea Coast,
Sunday, June 1, 2008

3 weeks of traveling with my brother and cousin ended as they returned to the real world (ugh...). Traveling solo without these 2 high maintenance characters, I headed into remote eastern Turkey hitting 2 areas (PHOTOS BELOW):

-Trabzon and Aider in northeast Turkey near Armenia where the Kaclar Mountains meet the Black Sea (verdant and scenic terrain with influence from the caucuses)
-Gazantiep in southeast Turkey near Iraq, the self-proclaimed birthplace of Baklava (and it was heavanly!).
