Hello! Just a quick post to say I'm here in the mighty city of London. After an uneventful eight hour flight from Cincinatti, I arrived in London Gatwick airport around 9:30am London time/4:30am US east coast time. Needless to say, I'm pretty sleep deprived at this point but I was conscious enough to book a bus ticket from the airport to the city and then navigate the London Underground (their metro/subway system) to my hostel. They weren't open for check-in yet, but I dumped my giant and very heavy backpack and have commenced the sightseeing.
Nothing too spectacular to report yet, other than the general observation that the cars here are tiny and the roads are terrifyingly narrow (granted I was traveling on the roads in a giant coach bus). I'll post again in a few days when I have more interesting things to tell you about and pictures to post!

Getting around is going to be difficult, considering that you don't speak British. If I had advice to give regarding what to do in London, I would give it. Seeing that I don't, just have fun! I'm looking forward to those pictures.
