Hi ya,
I have pictures but since it takes me a while to get them from the camera, etc. etc. etc., I'd rather just write about what went on today.
We had a super time Chez Woodruff (some of you may remember Sue Woodruff, Linda's friend from when they were 14, from the wedding). Linda got so heated during a political exchange with Susan that we had to soothe her savage breast with camomile tea.

We were sorry to have to leave Sue at about 10:00 this morning following a flurry of frenzied exchanges with my friend Todd, who lives in Richmond. In order to meet Todd and Kate for lunch we had to throw everything into the car like maniacs and take off down I-95 to meet them for lunch. Todd has a special radar set to detect all of the most interesting people in any one location and so "sniffed" out Yosi, the Iranian Jew who owns a little cafe in an office park in Richmond. We met Todd and Kate there and had a great time with Yosi, Pasha, Todd's employee and friend who was in town from Moscow, and assorted other characters including Keith the guy who works for the Federal Reserve. I'm still unsure as to who paid--so many people falling all over themselves to pay for our lunches, but anyway we were exquisitely well taken care of. Sadly, we had to shove off and everyone we met had to get back to work.

I must now pause to give you an update on our Search for Spring. Daffodils were in full bloom by the time we got to Richmond as were all kinds of flowering trees which I could not possibly identify as we sped by on the interstate. Some might have been ornamental pear trees or some such thing. Anyway it was fabulous. We're still looking for a tree that has completely leafed out, but so far they are only blooming.

Another full day of speeding down I-95. We finally veered east at Rocky Mount, North Carolina and are stopped tonight in Williamston. Tomorrow we start following route 17 which more or less follows along to coast all the way down to Charleston. We are sooooooo looking forward to being off the interstate. I hope to stop at the North Carolina Estuarium in Washington. Stay tuned!
