You know how when things don`t turn out quite how you expect them, but you laugh and joke about it and then everything is ok?  Well, when you are traveling alone, first you cry.  The place I`m staying is literally 1 minute from the water and near a pedestrian square, Place Magenta, but it was`t the hostel I was expecting.  I was actually ready to get back to the hostel scene after my break in Lucerne.  I am sharing a 2 bed room on the very top floor with quite sloped ceilings with Stephanie, here from Paris to find a flat while she studies here for the next year.  As it usually does, things are working out now.  She is very nice, and I`m not in Nice for the hotel room. 

Today the sun came and it was an absolutely beautiful morning!!  I walked along the Promenade Des Anglais and through the old town.  I really enjoyed climbing the Chateau for the fabulous views of the Mediterranean and the city of Nice!  An afternoon thunderstorm took me inside for a bit of a nap and now I`m off to find dinner somewhere. 

I wanted to make sure Nice got its pin on the map, but more to come as the journey continues!
