Taas tourismia. Mutta kun on laiska, ja aikaa on vahan. Maasta piti poistua perjantaina, ja viela oli Mekongin delta-alue tsekkaamatta. Otettiin siis pakettimatka, joka sisalsi paivan Mekong deltassa, ja seuraavana paivana kyydin Phnom Penhiin, Cambodian paakaupunkiin.

Se sai jaada viimeiseksi paketiksi talla reissulla. Koko homma sisalsi lahinna bussissa tai epamukavassa paatissa istumista. Kelluva marketti oli taysin olematon, ja "paikalliset" paikat joihin meidat vietiin oli varustettu matkamuistomyymaloilla.

Maisemat sentaan olivat hienoja. Ja paikallisten veneet (melkein laivat) ovat makeita, samoin kuin niita ajavat ihmiset. Vietnamilaiset ovat muutenkin aika cooleja, nyt myohemmin sen huomaa, kun vertaa cambodialaisiin. Tyylikkaita ja aika tietoisia itsestaan. Mutta oikein mukavia ja kielitaitoisia.

Vietnamista yleensa voisi sanoa, etta maassa on mukava matkustaa. Liput on helppo hankkia, joskin hintoja kannattaa vertailla pitkaan ja hartaasti, ja etenkin Hanoissa asia oli niin, etta kaikesta saattoi tinkia. Kaikesta. ja piti tinkia.

Vietnamissa keskiluokka on selkeasti suurempi kuin Kiinassa. Ei ollut niin paljon hulppeita ostoskeskuksia, eika toisaalta suuria maaria kerjalaisia. Keskiverto vietnamilainen tulee toimeen ja omistaa mopon. Ja rakastaa Uncle Ho'ta.

Nyt on jo uudet kuviot ja uusi maa tutkittavana. Lahden tasta syrjaiselle saarelle ja unohdan tietokoneet hetkeksi.
