Well I made it to KL after just a 2.5 hour bus journey from Melaka. Its been good so far. Found a place to stay and went for a bite to eat when we ran into Ryan, a guy the girls had met on the West Coast. What a funny guy. So much seems to have happened him on his travels.... The best story though was the night in his camper van in Cairns during the Cyclone Larry - category 5 cyclone that hit a few months back...
Anyway been walking a lot in the intense heat of this country. Paid a visit to the Petronas Twin Towers - the main landmark of KL. I really don't know how Becky does it but she went up to the ticket guy and with a very sad face asked why the skybridge didn't open on Mondays and managed to get us 4 tickets onto the last tour. They had had a few non shows as you have to get a ticket in the morning at 8.30am to get onto the bridge that day... The bridge itself is on the 41st floor and we got to walk across it. They don't let you up onto the 88th floor though.
Also went to see the Menara tower, the Telecoms mast that is the 4th largest in the World. (I've been to the largest....) More Indian food later and a tour around Little India and a shopping spree into the Central Markets or early night was not so early. I did buy a lovely Coach bag that the vendor tried to set light to it to show me it was leather.... More thumbnails ...
