It's 7:30am and the sun is hitting our room which wakes me up first.  As the rest of the family slowly wake up, no one is interested in even having breakfast as the only thing on everyones mind is to hit the pools.  I inform the kids the pools won't open until 9:30am, so they finally agree to breakfast which we decide to order in our room.  By the time we finish breakfast it's 10am, we rush down the elevators collect our pool wrist bands which are required and drop our towels on four banana chairs and start off on the largest pool closet to the Cove Atlantis hotel.  The kids love it and don't want to go anywhere else, but this resort is huge and offers so many exciting rides and slides.  So I go off for a walk, to see what's around and what is suitable for the kids.  The first thing I notice is the rapids tube ride, it's not so deep, it's guarded every 20 metres and they have  life jackets for the kids.  Zinije suggests Arion and I go first together on a two person tube, just to make sure what it's like first, before we try it with Lisiana.  As Arion and I float on the rapids, we are have a ball making our way around the resort, there are many points where you can hop on and off the tubes and these rapids act as an easy way of getting to different pools.  After 10 minutes Arion is more confident on the tube and wants to do it on his own on a one person tube, to which I agree.  We finally make it back to the starting point, to which I grab Zinije and Lisiana and we all go around a couple of times as a family, until we spot a pool with a kids playground on it, complete with watersides and activities for younger kids.  As the kids enjoy themselves on the playground, I suggest to Zinije that we take turns in looking after the kids and try some of the adult rides, especially the 'Leap of Faith'.  A 27 metre water slide going down a Mayan Temple  almost completely vertical, while going under water in a clear tunnel through a shark tank.   I'm the first to try it and as I reach the edge of the slide, I'm quick to realise why they call it the 'Leap of Faith' as the drop is the first to get my attention, I get down to the bottom pretty quick and once I'm in the clear tunnel going through the shark tank, because I'm now horizontal and going so fast, the water is spraying every where and I can't see a thing.  What a rush.  I get to  Zinije and we swap, I take care of the kids while she completed the Leap of Faith to which she also enjoyed.  We spend the rest of the day switching between pools and the tubes and get out around 4:30pm as we need to get ready for dinner and can feel that we are starting burn.   The kids resist a little, but they are tired and hungry so they finally agree.  After we all clean ourselves up, we walk through the resort towards the Marina Village, where we have reservations at the restaurant called Bimini Road, where we throughly enjoy our food and drinks.  Once we done though, Lisana is leaning against the wall ready to sleep, so we skip desert and head back to the hotel for some rest, before we do it all again tomorrow.
