We are greeted with another beautiful 17 degree sunny day and decide to take the kids to the Swiss country side.  We are heading towards the town Gruyere famous worldwide for it's cheese that is used to make fondue.  The Gruyere cheese factory is our first stop, where we explore the factory and process of how the famous cheese is made, the kids are amazed with how much an average cow eats and drinks, 100kg of grass and 85 litres of water  per day in order to produce 25 litres of Milk.  We complete the cheese tour and head to the factory restaurant for lunch, what better place is there to have a cheese fondue other than where the cheese is made?  As we wait for our cheese to be melted, the kids are playing outside on a playground allowing Zinije and I to enjoy some quiet time while we taste some local white wine.  The fondue arrives and it is fantastic, we were given bread and small potatoes to dip into our melted cheese.  Next we drive up an isolated hill of where the Medieval town of Gruyere lies, with the castle at the highest point, this town has been well preserved allowing tourists and locals to enjoy it's history.  After a couple of hours of enjoying the sun around gruyere we decide to take the kids up the mountain of Moleson 2002 meters high. When we got to the funicular station, it was closed for maintenance, the kids were really disappointed, especially Arion.  We assure the kids there will be more opportunities to visit a mountain in the next the five days.  We head back to Lutry to freshen up as tonight we will be having dinner with old friends that we haven't seen in four years.
