We finish our day of shopping and head to another of Arion's favourite playgrounds in Pully which he loved due to the deers and numerous activities around the park
. We return to Lutry, freshen up at our hotel and complete our day at one of our favourite restaurants in Lutry called 'Cafe de la Post'. We order their signature dish which is filets de perches, which are small fillets of fish that are caught in Lac Leman (Lake Geneva) served with Fries, Boiled Potatoes, or rice. We complete our deiicious meals and there is a silence around our table, we are still tired and haven't adjusted to the european time zone. As we walk back to the hotel Zinije and I discuss how not much has changed in the 4 years we've been away. It's like we never left, our favourites restaurants, shops, parks are all in the same place, which makes this leg of our trip feel like our second home. We can order in French, understand and speak a little French, which really does help when your in a Foreign country. It really is great to be back in Switzerland.
We kick off day 2 in Lausanne with another great selection of pastries and juices for breakfast, they don't last long at all, as the kids are attacking them like they've never had pastries before. It's the butter that makes these pastries so great here, as in Melbourne the croissants taste more sweet than savoury. After breakfast, we decide to the spend the day visiting ZInije's favourite stores in the centre of Lausanne which they don't have in Melbourne, her reaction is the same as when the kids are at Toys R Us, full of excitement. We break up the day as much as we can so the kids don't get too tired or bored while shopping. So in between, we stop for coffees where they have playgrounds, enjoy a nice long lunch at a local Brasserie which is a restaurant that serves French style food.
