Our eight hour flight from Delhi to Zurich is a very smooth one, not much turbulence and we all slept most of the way.  As the plane makes it's way to the gate, the captain welcomes us to Zurich and tells us the local time is 6:20am and the temperature is 2 degrees celsius.  Arion in the mean time reminds us all that he was born in Switzerland in a song, Lisiana doesn't like it or is jealous and they start to argue.  As our passports get stamped, our Immigration officer welcomes us back to Switzerland with a smile,  I guess he can see in our details that we used to live there, we say thanks and continue to the baggage terminal.   We collect our bags and decide to have some breakfast before driving to Lausanne  where Arion was born.  We order croissants with some juices and coffees and clean them up in a heartbeat.  Next we head to the car rental counter, to pick up our Ford SUV or equivalent, the lady I'm dealing with tells me we've been upgraded which means they have run out of the Fords so we will get a BMW 1 series instead.   I have concerns whether all my bags will fit but we manage to get everything in just fine.   It takes me 5 to 10 mins to adjust driving on the other side of the road so I ask the kids to give me 10 minutes of silence, which they heard as 10 seconds of silence.   Lausanne is a 2 hour drive from Zurich so we decide to stop in Bern, Capital of Switzerland as I am still a little fatigued from our flight.  As we walk around the peaceful streets of Bern we take in the crisp fresh air of Switzerland.  We find a nice spot for lunch and then continue our journey towards Lausanne.  Our hotel is in a small little suburb just outside of Lausanne called Lutry, close to where we used to live.  Lutry is nestled up against Lac Leman also know as lake Geneva, it has little narrow cobble streets running through it with apartments dating back to the 16th century.  We check in and spend most our time in Lutry taking it easy and most importantly taking the kids to a nearby park.  It's been two weeks since the kids have been to a playground and you can tell they had really missed it.  We have a light dinner and turn in for an earlier night as we are all exhausted.
