. So we decide to stay indoors and do a little shopping in one of the traditional markets called the Pearl Market. It is seven levels high and they sell everything from electronics to clothes/shoes, bags, souvenirs and eventually pearls. The only issue with these sort of places is almost everything is fake, every one sells the same thing and because you are a foreigner every one is trying to rip you off. As we walk into the market the first floor is electronics, as soon as we walk within a meter of the first stall, we hear "Hello, Hello, come and have a look", "Give me your best price", both Zinije and I have headaches within the first 10 minutes and we haven't even started yet. I'm quite experienced at these sort of places and know that the price given should be divided by at least 10 and walking off is usually the best way to get them to drop their price as they know the guy next door is listening and will sell you the same product slighty cheaper. It's quite hot and stuffy in this market so we decide to step out side and have a drink, the wind has stopped and sun has appeared making it quite pleasant. After our drink, we continue wondering around the market and notice in the corner there is a Massage/Manicure/Pedicure place, which appeals to both Zinije and I, Zinije for the Manicure of course and me for the head and back massage. Lisiana is getting lots of attention again and is entertaining all the ladies in the store, so much so they decided to give her a free nail polish as well, which she excepted while being a little embarrased. We finish our shopping trip in a hot pot restaurant also know as Chinese fondue. I have had it many times while living in Hong Kong and wanted to share the experience with my family. The kids loved the idea of having a stove on the same table you eat from and really enjoyed everything we ordered. After finishing our meal, we cross the street and head for the Temple of Heaven, the sun is now gone and the cold wind has picked up again. When we arrive at the Temple, we quickly walk around take few photos and hail a cab back to the hotel as it is just to windy and we are not dressed well for the current weather conditions.
Today marks quite a few things, its our wedding anniversary, it's one week exactly since we have been on holidays and it's one week since Zinije has not used her Facebook. Those who know me well, know I use my Facebook once every year, well hardly at all. Zinije on the other hand is a frequent user and has no use for the computer without it. Now for the reason, why hasn't Zinije used Facebook? It's not from choice but instead restriction, we are not able to access Facebook any where in Shanghai and Beijing, I Googled it and apparently it is restricted in China but the why is still unclear. For everyone posting and sending messages for our birthdays, thank you very much and Zinije will get back to you shortly on Facebook, she is crossing her fingers there is no restriction in India. Today is another easy day as we get ourselves organised by 10:30am and as we step outside we almost get blown away by the gust of cold wind, it's much cooler today with only a top of 10 degrees forecasted
