... so guys, to make sure you don`t get a wrong impression of our stay in Costa Rica, we`ll tell you sth about our hard student life over here!!! ;) damed.. that already sounds ironic... ah.. you`ll see, it really is pretty tough!!!
Our sede of the Universidad the Costa Rica is pretty small. Acutuall we have just about 800 students over here.. So even smaller than cute little Werni. The good thing about it is our really beautiful Campus. We have a pretty green garden with cute benches and stuff. Moreover we have a swimmig pool. When we first heard about that, our eyes were glittering.. seeing us all day long chilling at the pool, doing our homework etc. So the next day we went to the pool. Sitting there in our bikinis with a book and taking some sun, we could watch all the suprisingly sporty swimming people around us. Wondering why we were the only ones who chilled out at that refershing spot, the answer should follow soon. Suddenly a pised man was coming into our direction, almost spitting and shouting at us in strange, way too fast Spansich. As we didn`t understand a word of what he was telling us, we just thought he maybe wants to sell us sth.. as people try to sell things to you everywhere! So we looked at each other and didn`t bother about him. His face turning alarming scarlet Anja thought he might have said sth else... well in the end we were banned of the pool, as nobody is allowed to just sit there and do nothing.. it`s for exercising!!! stupid, little, arrogant Germans!!! ahhhhh... that was so damed embarassing!!!
So we decidet to concentrate on our clases. Even they are so very different to German classes. I do have 4 clases and Anja 5 a week. But here one class lasts 3-4 hours... an a room which is that badly climatist that you think your in Sybiria and the profs talking quick, bad Spanisch... we end up each day with headaches!! But step by step we get used to it. Rigt now we still have some problems with understand what we have to do for the next week, or for the examens etc. Moreover it sometimes is quite a challenge to find the classroom.. as they tend to change them once in a while, and nobody knows about it... well, sometimes the prof isn`t showing up at all... so each day getting up way too early you just hope to find the classroom and plead the prof doesn`t have sth more important on his mind.
If we do have classes they are pretty tough. Actually we do have a lot of homework!!! For 1 lecture we have to make about 1 big paper with a persentation, 2 little examens, a group work and several small essays... not to forget: everything in Spanish!!!! So each week I think about skipping Uni and looking for a job =D
Well, at least our fellow students are very helpfull... they do explain us a lot and try to help us whenever they can!!!
Hoping to pass all the clases we`ll have finished Uni in July. So after our next journey we`ll start getting a little more ambitious... maybe we won`t write anything else about Uni... but just that you all know:
The bikini isn`t our schooluniform!!! :D
