Day 1: Los Angeles
When: November 14th, 2007 - early evening
Point of Entry: Gate 25, sitting in the waiting area.

If you've been following my previous travelogues, then you would know how much I love me some airports. This is my first time flying with Virgin Atlantic. And to say that I'm not at all interested to see what everyone's been buzzing about would be a complete and utter lie. Strangely enough, we're not at the usual Tom Bradley International terminal for our departure. We're at a much more "exclusive" terminal - Terminal 2.  Oh what? You didn't know?  It's the hottest thing in LA.  Anybody who's anybody is here. Hahaha. Okay, okay, okay. I'm probably looking too far into this whole Virgin Atlantic thing. But while we're on the subject, all they really need is a hulking 7 foot ex-high school football burnout who has had one too many roid shots in the ass, holding a clip board, saying shit like, "You're not on the list?" to make it an official Hollywood hot spot. Hahaha... where's LiLo?!

I finished packing last night. Its a little difficult packing for a trip that will require both warm and cold clothing. At least I was able to pack light - unlike Angela.  Her luggage felt like a ton of bricks.  The funny thing is, I was the one who had trouble with the weight limit. My carry-on was 10 pounds over weight. Urgh! Stupid camera equipment. We were able to convince the porter to let me go through though.

Now we're just sitting here ... waiting. Fuck... I hate waiting. I can't help but reminisce about the last time I flew to Europe, more specifically London. Its been about 10 years since I had myself a proper serving of bangers and mash, Guinness with my twin cousins, and drunken conversations with random Spanish women on the Bakerloo Line. Ooooh! I can't wait.

We're boarding soon. I'll write again as soon as we land.

***On a side note - I will be sending my entries via blackberry so the locations on this travelogue will be off. It might say North Hollywood instead of the actual city we'll be in. I'll make the corrections when I get back from our trip.
