My sister, age 11, wrote:
We woke up at 8:30am and layed in bed for a while. When we got up a maid came asking if we wanted our room cleaned and we said in about an hour to him (the maids were men). We went out and ate a little later. I had a hamburgesa and leche. When we went back we washed our hair and I told Ardie to come over when she was done. When she came over Grandma and Grandpa went to go play pinochle with Mom and Dad. Ardie and I played a while and then went over to their room at the adults who told us to go down and find out what time the dinner restaurant opened and what to wear (7pm and casual). Ardie and I wore dresses and sandals. We had chateaubriand again (it wasn't as good as Quito's). When we got back to the room Ardie and I played for a few minutes then separated and went to bed. (We laid around for most of the day.)
