It had been a pretty cold night in the car and when I woke up Ard was awake, too. Then I went into the backseat with her and read with a flashlight. Ardie and I could see some big waves so we went out to get some close-up views. When I came back we left for Kona. When we got there we had breakfast then we looked around at the shops. When we got back to the car we started out for Hilo at the other end of the island. On the way we stopped at a beach where the waves were real big and then we stopped at Akaka Falls. On our way we took some sugarcane then we stopped at Kaumano Caves which were very wet. There was also a "fall-out" sign. Then we went to see the "boiling pots" which are really just turbulent water flowing over lava but couldn't find them. We then drove to Hilo airport where we returned our car and waited for our plan. On the way to Honolulu there was a bunch of rough spots. When we landed we got our baggage and were driven to the Holiday Inn. When we got to our room, we did the laundry. Then we went to have dinner. I had a hamburger, milk, and potato chips. Ardie and I came back and took a bath then went to bed.
