I am so excited, stoked, thrilled, happy, ecstatic, elated, joyful, that you guys are coming. Mommy and Daddy are excited, too. In fact, the whole family is. Whee! Daddy is laying on the floor, talking excitedly about taking Pas out for snake, squirrel, tortoise ... and for a drinking session. I hope you like brandy and water!

My trip to Ipoh was really nice. It was good to see Fiona, Graham, and Katrina again. Te night I arrived, we went to see a Chinese opera. That was really fun ... especially because it was a final dress rehersal so not everything was perfect. We had "supper" (really, a three-course meal) with the cast, crew, and visiting VIPs. Of course, very few spoke English, but it's not often I eat with a Minister of Parliament and a millionaire businessman. Great Honor.

Fiona's family has about 15 dogs, so most of our afternoons were spent feeding them, cleaning their cages. We also spent a lot of time talking. I went to school with Fiona and Graham one day -- their school is HUGE. Neo-gothic, like something out of Goodbye, Mr. Chips.

Another day, I had lunch with a minister's wife (from NZ) and an Aussie lady. I've mastered chopsticks but still can't shove food on the back of a fork. Oh well, I'm sure I was forgiven.

We went one night to a wedding dinner -- not Chinese but Indonesian-Eurasian. Ate with the "Malaysian Elvis Presley" whose brother kept giving me Sound Advice. Another man kept trying to set me up with his son. I enjoy the way everyone here greet each other like old friends, drink together, laugh and talk, then exchange names. So open and unpretentious. That was a very fun night.
