We headed back to Florence for some free time this morning. After being dropped off, we headed off to the Ponte Vecchio. It is the oldest bridge in Florence and the stalls are the original size. It is also the gold district. Cara and I picked ourselves up a gift, thanks to spending money from Grandma!
We had a nice time looking around and exploring a bit. Next we headed out to Venezia! The traffic was tedious and the bus ride long but we arrived safely. A little late but safe and sound. The hotel is in a beach community outside of Venice, think of the new jersey shore but Italian, including the bidet's in the bathrooms!
Cara and I headed out for a walk on the moonlit beach and put our feet in the chilly Adriatic Sea. After the kids headed off to bed, we spent some time chatting with our tour guide and bus driver, learning about life in Italy for real! Especially, seize the day!

I too was waiting for a link! Ha! Ha! Silly me. Venezia was my FAVORITE place in Italia. I hope that you like it. There is a famous place to have tea if you can ask your tour guide, it is amazing (expensive). It is hard to believe how someone had the idea to even construct the city there. Is the water still green? Is it still sinking. I wanted to get off the gondola and walk around more. Get ready to make a wish on the wishing bridge...make it a good one. Me, I wish I that I there was a hot Italian man home clearing out leaves and underbrush instead of me!
PS Rob drove down the street with the back of his truck open...again!
