It was pouring rain when we got up so that slowed us down a bit. We left the campground around 11:00. We didn't get to cedar point until 3 or so. We grabbed a quick lunch and headed out to the water park. We definitely are feeling the weather you all described over the last week! It was about 90-92 here and humid. We had a good time but didn't want to linger too long as we wanted to hit the amusement park.
Cara,Rob, and Robbie started off on an insanely large coaster while Jenna and I explored for a few. We met back up as they came off the ride. Cara and Rob decided to try the Dragster. It goes from 0-120 mph in a few seconds them goes straight up and spirals back down. There was no way you were getting Jenna and I on that and Robbie didn't make the height requirement(I don' t think he would have went any way- much too high for his comfort level). I took some pics bit can' t load them yet-no wifi.
While rob and cara waited for their ride I took the kids on some other rides. Just as we were meeting up again the dark clouds rolled in and they announced that the rides were closing for weather. This was at 8:30 or so. We thought we might wait it out but then the rain started to come down in sheets! We were soaked, we stopped for shelter in an overpriced subway but it was no use. It just kept coming. We trudged back to the campground and tried to dry out. The kids were disappointed but we have been really lucky with weather for the whole trip until today. It didn't make them feel any better though. The amusement park is very cool- I think it has like 16 coasters ,which is right up Cara's alley!
We played some card games and a couple of rounds of boggle before calling it a night. We may spring for tickets tomorrow depending on the weather and try to get a half day in before heading to PA. It seems like a waste to be out here and not try to do more. We'll see what mother nature has in store forms tomorrow.
