As you probably know by now we're still in Santiago. Spirits are high though as we get to enjoy another beautiful day here with our Chilean brothers and sisters. The ticket situation has been resolved thanks to our awesome leaders Zach, Garrett and Traci. We will be heading out the 25th, Monday morning. Our flight will fly directly to Bolivia, La Paz then Cochabamba.
In the mean time we've had a chance to break up and go to the different missionaries houses to spend the night. Some of us got to go out to eat some really good food at local restaurants. The youth here at the church are cooking lunch for us today...MEXICAN FOOD!
BACKTRACKING SANTIAGO
The first week of our trip was focus on "Escolares" which is basically grade school. Escolares also makes up the Youth of the Church here in Sanitago. Our group was divided into groups of about 3 or 4 and had rule over english classes. We played games focused on using their english and got to know the kids a little bit. We held activities for the Escolares those evenings to play more games and get to know them more as well as help improve their english.
The 2nd week was focus on University students. We visited universities and personaly invited and handed out flyers for the english classes that week. The english classes were for students of all levels in english. After the english classes we held activites.
We also, throughout time here, rode the metros, went skiing, played soccer with and against the Missionaries, rode the "Micros" or buses, had lunch at missioniers houses and soaked up the Chilean scenery and culture.
We have had some trouble with getting to Cochabamba but hopefully with everything now in place and the Lords guiding hand we will arrive tomorrow morning to enjoy another culture, each other and the rest of our wonderful trip!
