The beach on East Railay is just mud flats, but you can walk to Hat Tham Phra Nang in about ten minutes. This has a stunning beach, with sheer cliffs up either side. The water's wonderfully warm as well. The beach on West Railay (a five minute walk) is not so spectacular, but at night gives a wonderful view of the stars - walk away from the light and you can see the dust clouds of the Milky Way.
Nick and Lynn both did a three day rock climbing course, which cost them 3000B. Although not an official qualification, it's given them enough knowledge to climb on their own
The diving here is the best I've ever done. It has crystal clear water, beautiful coral reefs (said to be as good as the Great Barrier Reef) and an excellent wreck to explore. The only problem has been the weather, because we're in the middle of monsoon season.
Me, Nick & Lynn came to get some more money in Krabi today - I've no more travellers cheques left so I had to use an ATM. Paul's most likely still in bed, sleeping off his hangover, doing the excellent three-toed sloth impression that he does. :)
Because we've spent much longer in Krabi than we expected, our new plan is to go Krabi-Bangkok-Langkawi-KL. We'll leave once I've done the final dive in my course - probably tommorow.
