This Haggis adventure was so fun! I would recommend it to anyone. With all of the history involved with all of the beautiful scenery and all of the monuments it was well worth the money. Plus all of the people I got to meet made it worth the trip all on its own.
There were people from Canada, America, India, Australia, New Zealand and one lonely Brit. Before I went I thought it would mainly be Brits and Scots but I was wrong. So I now know a few more people here in Edinburgh but of course they are off travelling within a week. Nice to meet a few people though so next week they can introduce me to a few friends and I can know a few more then.
So on out first day we went from Edinburgh - Stirling - Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park - Ben Nevis and Glencoe - Fort William - Fort Augustus
Ben Nevis and Glencoe area a definate highlight of the trip for me. The Ben Navis is the highest mountain in Britain reaching 1344m. Of course clouds were around the top so I wasn't able to see the entire mountain but the clouds also gave the appearance a very nice photo take. The sun coming through the clouds looks very nice as well as the sun rays strike the land creating a breathtaking view. Glencoe is said to be a very mystical and magical place. It is also one of the most dramatic sites in the Scottish Highlands as it is the scene of the infamous massacre in 1692.
Next was a stop to see Scotland's cutest icon, the hairy coos! These creatures are so friendly and as quoted they put the 'sexy' in the 'wild and sexy' motto.
Our last stop for the evening was Fort Augustus. It is an absolutely stunning village located on the banks of Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal. The hostel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. It is said to be a 4-star hosteland I definately agree....unlike the one you will hear about for our second night.

01 Day 1
. Stirling is the sight of the Wallace monument which was built in honour of the National hero William Wallace. I'm sure all of you know who William Wallace is........yes the hero in Braveheart. It was interesting to learn a little history of William Wallace as the movie 'Braveheart' is not the entire truth of the events which took place. He was definately an icon but there were a few people that may not have been correctly represented. Ben Nevis and Glencoe area a definate highlight of the trip for me.
