We spent the day kayaking through the ocean at the Abel Tasman park.
The instructor split us into pairs, with two Danish girls - Nadja and Ditte - so that the group will advance at the same pace. The sea was nice, but there was some rain - which didn't ruin the experience, cause all the seals were still out fishing and we got to see a lot of them. We also saw a swimming blue penguin - turns out they are not the rarest ones (or are they...) The lunch was on a small cosy beach, where I found some very nice sea-shells, then we went kayaking again. When the wind increased, we rafted - put all the kayaks next to each other - and raised a sail. That gave us some progress, but it was too slow, so we paddled some more.
And in the evening, after we got back to the backpackers, it started raining again and continued the whole next day - but we got to do the Able Tasman kayaking! More thumbnails ...
