PING RIVER FRENCH TOAST, FASHION AND SO MUCH MORE, and THE FLIPPIN'
CARPENTERS AGAIN.

Leaving Chiang Mai today to return to Bangers for one night, then off to Hanoi in Vietnam. After the long day yesterday I got a sleep in and followed up with French Toast next to the Ping River. (not a pinch on the French Toast at Cafe Qua, Balaclava.)

I got to the airport to get on an earlier flight, and was shuffled of to the standby counter. Alas I missed out by one person on a seat so I was stuck at the airport for a few solid hours.

I checked in to my hotel back in Bangkok and headed out down nearby Sukumvit Road, as I hadn't stayed in that area previously. I was still on the basic Italian food again due to the (improving) stomache. I can now recommend a great Calzone place in Bangers.

On the way back to the hotel I found my (new) favourite shop name - "Fashion And So Much More". I think that really says it all - they have fashion, and yet they also have SO much more.....

Back at the hotel for a reasonably early night (as the flight to Hanoi is at 8.25am, which means a 5.30am start) I find that my balcony door won't entirely close, and their is a very bad cover band playing below it, extra loud. It is difficult to get to sleep when they are playing the Carpenters "Mr Postman" until midnight. What's worse to comprehend is that I actually knew the song title....
