SARSI, KENNY'S COUNT STANDS AT 3, and ONE NIGHT IN HAT YAI.

Walking round I spotted 2 more Kenny's, and also a drink called "SARSI" which I would assume isn't selling well at the moment.

A large multi-faceted travel day today. I caught a train to the airport, a plane from KL to Langkawi, and a car from airport to jetty, a boat from Langkawi to Satun, and a car from Satun to Hat Yai, Thailand. Believe me, there is method in that madness, as there are no flights from KL to far southern Thailand for under $400 more than the flight to Langkawi, which only cost about $80. Dan and I had done the crossing from Langkawi to Satun 3 years ago, so I knew where I was going. The good news is the same guy was their touting for lifts into Satun. The bad news was there were no other tourists round, he only had a car (no minibus) and I was the sole hirer and had to pay for the lot. Bugger.

I ended up staying at the same place as 3 years ago, and its now divey and sleazy (insert wacka wacka wacka guitar music here), and full of many Malay tourists looking looking looking for girls. I walked around town after dinner. This town sucks. The Hotel Room smells smokey and horrible. I'm outta here tomorrow to Songkhla.
