The day dawned early, we had a Luxembourg pass that cost E13 and dammit as much as we'd tried the previous day we could not use it to do anything. So what do you do? Well you jump on a now free public train, head to the north and visit a museum about the Battle of the Bulge.

Just in case you were wondering (I was) the Battle was all about the Americans liberating Luxembourg from the Germans. Must admit that the museum was really interesting, filled with nic naks from the war. It had a castle overlooking the city with the last surviving tank that defended the city from the Germans. And the nic naks in the museum, we'll there are a few gems in there. Must admit I was quite sickened by the pictures of the hung German commanders. I had never seen these pictures before, and the write up in the various papers of the time were "enlightening" to say the least. As war museums go, it was really good.

I also wanted to see the museum with the models of the castles but for some reason we couldn't find the place. For a town so small how could this be the case. Anyway, we wanted to go to Vianden, and there was only one bus that went at a reasonable time to actually make an afternoon of it. So we went...
