i've had a great 2 weeks in London, & what better way to finish than a weekend in the country... we'll not quite the country, but compared to London it is! Saturday afternoon I was picked up by my friends Tammy & Amy & we headed out to Amy's place in Chingford. It was great to sit back & relax after an exhausting 3 weeks... after kicking my butt at pool, (yes I don't mind admitting it, but in my defence the table was really small, right girls...), we decided to do a little gambling, what better place than Walthamstow Stadium... Londons premier dog racing track! It was a blast, kinda like horse racing, without any of the class,.. my kinda place! I won twice, about 20 quid, but i'm sure I spent that or more on bets & beers.
Sunday morning Amy's mom made me to breakfast in bed, what a treat! We just chilled for the morning & then started to get ready for the main event, Arsenal vs. Liverpool at Highbury stadium!!! That was until we got the call that the tickets had been lost... WHAT!? it was too bad, but I'll get to a game next time, & on the bright side i hadn't paid for it yet so I saved myself 80 pounds ($200)!!! Instead we found the closest pub & stuffed our faces... hmmmm... another relaxing night led into the final day of my trip, after 3+ weeks on the road I was looking to get home, but I was not ready to leave... there is something about London, I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just feels like home, i'll definitely be back... but now back to Ottawa & reality...
